ProHostiva documentation
How to put a website or web app online with ProHostiva: deploy from a ZIP or GitHub, connect your domain, and keep it running.
How ProHostiva works
You bring the code of a website or web app: from a ZIP, or from a GitHub repository. ProHostiva looks at the files, works out what kind of project it is and how to build it, and shows you what it found. When you click Publish, it builds your project in an isolated container, checks that it answers, and puts it online.
Every website gets a free address straight away (yourname.prohostiva.com), and you can connect your own domain whenever you're ready. HTTPS certificates are issued and renewed for you. There are no servers for you to set up, update or watch.
If a deployment fails, nothing changes for your visitors: the version that was live stays live, and the deployment log tells you what went wrong.
Quick start
Create your account
Sign up, choose a plan, confirm your email address and complete the payment. Your dashboard opens as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Choose your code
In the dashboard, click Host a website. Connect GitHub and pick a repository (private ones work), or upload your project as a ZIP.
Let us check it
ProHostiva builds your project in a sandbox and tells you whether it's ready, and what to fix if it isn't. You don't have to wait for it: you can carry on.
Publish
Give the website a name and its address (the
yournameinyourname.prohostiva.com) and click Publish website. Your site is usually live within a couple of minutes. Later, the Publish panel at the top of the website's page deploys new versions with one click.Connect your domain (optional)
Your site is live at its ProHostiva address. To use your own domain, follow Connecting your own domain.
